Coca-Cola Starlight A New Flavour That's Out Of This World

Coca-Cola Starlight: A New Flavour That’s Out Of This World

Having taken the OG Coke Zero away from us, Coca-Cola look to be making amends with their newest flavour Coca-Cola Starlight. Having already hit shelves in the US, Coca-Cola state their newest creation evokes the feeling of a cold journey to space.

Though it’s not known how many employees of Coca-Cola have journeyed through outer space or experienced life outside of planet Earth to get an understanding of how to put the feeling of being in cosmos in a drink, the company believe they’ve hit a winning formula.

Speaking on their newest creation, Coke have brought out a statement saying the drink was envisioned to connect us Earthlings with Coca-Cola drinkers from different universes.

“Starlight was created with the vision that — in a world of infinite possibilities — somewhere in our universe, another kind of Coca-Cola, another way of connecting with each other might exist.”

The drink brand further claims it aspires “to bring space to life with one sip (by) capturing some of the mystery and essence of what we love about what lies beyond our atmosphere”.

The limited edition drink comes in both sugar free and original. Having a more reddish hue compared to the rest of the Coke line-up, the company is describing it as a “dash of the unexpected.”

Coca-Cola themselves are yet to reveal what the actual flavouring of the drink is. However, they did drop a hint in a press release.

The drink brand claims the flavour of Coke Starlight “notes reminiscent of stargazing around a campfire, as well as a cooling sensation that evokes the feeling of a cold journey to space.”

With the flavour still a mystery, many have taken to social media to share their theories. One Redditor predicting the flavour could be raspberry, as astronomers says the centre of galaxy tastes of raspberries and smells of rum.

Another Redditor guessed that the it could be s’mores flavour. Since Coca-Cola say the new drink is reminiscent of of sitting around a campfire, the user may have cracked the flavour code. One Twitter user who tasted the drink likened the flavour to creamy soda or caramel.

Ahead of its launch in America, singer Ava Max has been brought on board as the brand ambassador. Having already performed a virtual concert in the video game Roblox, Max will be involved in yet another strange virtual concert. Coke Starlight bottles will have QR codes on them ready to scan so you can see Max perform all her hit songs while in the Starlight Universe.

The Coke product which no one asked for will be released in America this week with no word yet on whether Coke’s new mystical product will be coming to Australia.
